The Mosaic Wall : An Interactive Photo Experience for Shopify Support Summit

Shopify approached us with an exciting opportunity to help bring their Support Summit event in Montreal to life. They were looking for something that was highly interactive and visually impressive, with the main goal of encouraging attendees to interact with one another.

That's when we suggested our interactive MDRN Mosaic wall photo booth. We knew that this unique and engaging activity would not only add a touch of fun to the event, but it would also encourage people to visit the photo booth multiple times and interact with their colleagues.

Shopify was excited about the idea and asked if there was any way we could incorporate action into the mosaic. We were happy to oblige and incorporated a plan to assign specific actions to each participant once they found their designated square on the mosaic board. This added an extra layer of excitement and kept people coming back to the photo booth throughout the event.

Once a sticker was assigned a square, the guest was given direction to find someone who fit the description like “find someone who has 4 cats” or “find someone who knits”. Their mission was to find that person and bring them back to the booth to help contribute to the final mosaic.

The best part was that they were incentivized to come back because every picture was another change to win a prize hidden on the board.

In the end, we finished with a 2000+ mosaic image that was entirely user-generated. This not only made for a visually impressive display, but it also created a sense of community and connection among the participants.
