Bayshore Snow Globe

An annual holiday Photobooth experience
at Bayshore Shopping Centre in Ottawa, Canada.

Bayshore Shopping Centre has always been the go-to mall in the West end of Ottawa. They consistently host free, large scale public events that get the community involved! Each Christmas, Bayshore — in partnership with Blackbook Lifestyle — approaches us to implement our latest photo booth trends into their Christmas snow globe.

Event Goals

Offering a unique and interactive activity for mall patrons during the holiday season. The life-sized snow globe surrounds guests with confetti snow while the photo booth takes their photos, intended to create a buzz on social media. Any donations made by guests would go directly to the Senators Foundation.

Event Solution

What was needed is a photo booth that shoots photos and boomerangs while sharing from a separate station. This required a completely custom booth that we designed and built for this activation. The booth allowed us to secure all the expensive electronics, provide the functionality needed, and brand the booth from top to bottom.

Over the course of the activation, there were more than 5,000 photos captured. Many guests shared their experience online and donated to the Senators Foundation. The social media buzz caused by thousands of these images even attracted the local news station into the snow globe!
